Shae Heberling - K8 PE Teacher

Shae skiing in the air and upside down

Starting my sixth year at Helena Flats, I am thoroughly looking forward to building connections and relationships with ALL students within the school and getting students excited about learning critical life skills through movement and healthy lifestyle habits and choices. I am honored to be a part of such an inspiring and meaningful community, and I strive to motivate students to grow not only academically, but in all facets of life.

I received my bachelor's in Elementary Education from the University of Montana after attending Montana State University for a degree in Environmental Studies. Prior to teaching, I spent several years coaching freestyle skiing, which guided me into the world of education. I grew up in the Flathead Valley and attended the public schools in Whitefish, so it feels incredibly special to be able to give back to my home community.

I am also grateful to be fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful place with so many adventurous activities to offer. A lover of all things outdoors, when I am not at school, you will likely find me somewhere in the mountains (no matter the season). Skiing, rockhounding, whitewater rafting, fishing, and soccer are a few of my other passions, while I like to spend summers traveling and exploring.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions!
