All the students did great competing in our Helena Flats Spelling Bee. They were confident and worked hard. A special shout out to our Champion Weston Jones 8th grade and Alternate Breanna Merrill 5th grade!
Parents/Guardians, with the cold temperatures we just wanted to remind you that we accept students in the building at 8:10am when we have staff prepared on duty to supervise. Please plan to arrive around that time in order to prevent any students outside for a longer period of time in the cold weather. Thank You :-)

The Helena Flats bus on the Eastern Route Addison road is on its way. It is just delayed.

Helena Flats Girls Basketball practice is cancelled Tuesday 2/4/2025. Please pick the students when school lets out.
Parents and guardians, we wanted to reach out to get your assistance with maintaining proper safety and security procedures at our school. For visitor entry please buzz the main office to gain entry to the building between 8:30am-3:30pm. Check in with main office staff to verify identity prior to receiving a visitor badge when visiting someone at the school.
For the time prior to 8:30am parent/guardians please drop off students to the front entrance and staff greeters will ensure they get to the proper location. Please schedule parent-teacher meetings in advance. If a parent/guardian needs to notify staff of something immediately, the main office staff will check in with the teacher whether they have time to meet or if the parent can send alternate communication such as an email. If a teacher can make time for an impromptu meeting the main office will issue a visitor badge. School administration can also meet with parents for any immediate concerns. Thank you for helping our teachers since the time prior to the school day is important for teacher preparation to accept students at the start of the school day.
For school drop off/pick up please use proper entrance and exit lanes as well as designated parking. Please do not park by the fence around the Elementary side of the school. This can block traffic coming out or entering when cars back out/pull out to the road from that area. Winter weather is here, and we hope to expedite this time period safely for everyone's benefit.

With winter weather here it is a great opportunity to thank our bus drivers for safely transporting our most precious assets, our kids/students, to and from school. Roads can get snowy and icy, and they make sure to keep these kids safe :-)

The Helena Flats Book Fair is taking place in our school library 2/10/2025-2/14/2025 from 8:00-8:30am and 3:30-4:00pm daily. Students will also have an opportunity to visit the book fair during the school day. It is a great opportunity to support literacy. Please review the attached letter for more information.
We had the opportunity to celebrate Mrs. Holloway's 4th grade class and Mrs. Barber's 5th grade class at our most recent Helena Flats School Board meeting. They are really doing some wonderful things in their classes. Students are problem solving and team building to do their absolute best. We have some great teachers and students!
